James Staples began working as a server at Lekka Gifts and Cafe in Dallas in 2020. After two years in this position, he advanced to the role of manager. During his time at Lekka Gifts, he supported the business by training new employees, overseeing sales activities, and managing daily operations. He also ensured quality dining service and safe food and beverage handling for all patrons. James Staples gained additional work experience as a summer intern at Builders First Source, also in Dallas. The two-month internship involved on-site fieldwork and a variety of administrative and team management responsibilities. He assisted the company’s project managers on more than 30 active construction projects.

James Staples is a finance student at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. He is also in the process of achieving his real estate license. When he is not studying and preparing for his career in finance, he volunteers with the nonprofit Bed Start in Plano, Texas. He has also supported the Young Men’s Service League. His other interests include golfing, fishing, and international travel.
